A friendly game of online oneupsmanship has led to the cities of Arlington, Texas and Toronto, Ontario painting giant logos supporting their respective baseball teams.
As the Toronto Blue Jays and Texas Rangers continue their American League Division Series against one-another, the respective parks departments of the two cities are busy battling one another on Twitter.
It started with a simple Tweet from @Arlington_Parks showing this Rangers logo on the grass at Founders Plaza:
Toronto’s Parks and Rec team, couldn’t let their baseball counterparts in Texas take all the glory and responded with this massive Blue Jays logo in Canoe Landing Park:
The giant logo must have worked, in their first game played since the painting was completed the Blue Jays beat the Rangers 5-1.
