The Boston Bruins will unveil their 2016 Winter Classic jersey at a fan event later this month, this according to an email sent out to Bruins’ season ticket holders earlier this week.
In the email it is announced that fans will have an exclusive first opportunity to see the new heritage-themed sweater on Saturday, October 24th at 1pm at Boston’s Seaport World and Trade Center. The original 1924 team logo the Bruins have been using to promote the event is featured prominently in the email suggesting once again that this will indeed be the main logo on the jersey. The original uniform Boston wore in 1924 with that logo can be seen at the top of this post.
The original email appears below:
The Bruins have been using two logos for their appearance in the annual outdoor event, just yesterday we learned they’re also using a modified “hub” logo one which features the same “B” from the 1924 logo surrounded by the spokes in a circle.
