It’s phantom champs season again! This past week we saw four Major League clubs pack up and head home for the year, eliminated from their respective Divisional Series’; three of the four teams went so far to a winner-takes-all matchup. Exciting baseball… and for once my favourite team is still alive this far in, fortunately I’ve never had to do a “phantom champs” post for them. Let’s keep that streak alive, yes?
With those three teams: the Dodgers, Rangers, and Astros, taking the series to the brink we were able to see what their division series winner locker room t-shirts would have looked like which includes the designs for each home stadium (no more skyline controversy for Texas). All of which look far more realistic than the Blue Jays/Marlins Park/Rogers Centre mess.
First a look at the LDS locker room shirts:
There was also a number of “salesman sample” graphics made for random collectible-style merchandise (flags, pennants, pins, etc.) for each of those teams winning or qualifying for the World Series, I’ve assembled this merchandise and grouped them by team.
