The Maryland Terrapins, best known for cramming elements of their state flag into every possible corner of their uniform, are giving football fans a breath of fresh air this weekend. They’ll take to the field against Penn State this weekend wearing refreshingly simple throwbacks from 1961—a wink and a nod to the year Maryland first beat Penn State.

The uniforms, from Under Armour, have a classic look about them, and are being well received on social media. They’ll serve as a solid counterpoint to Penn State’s always-simple uniforms.

The Terps are going for their third-ever win over Penn State, with the other two being the aforementioned 1961 game and a 20-19 squeaker last year.
