For the first time since the 2003-04 season, the Chicago Bulls will be wearing their road uniforms from the 1970s and 1980s as part of this season’s Hardwood Classics program.
The team has announced that they’ll be putting the spotlight on decades from the ’60s to the present-day decade each time they wear the throwbacks. They’ll be celebrating the team’s 50th anniversary for ’80s night on January 20th, 2016, and I’m sure that ’90s night will be a special night for the Bulls as well. They’ll be starting the celebration tomorrow night with their game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
As I’ve stated plenty of times before, it’s going to be very nice to see these uniforms make a comeback. If I had my way, these would be the Bulls’ primary road uniforms for one reason and one reason only: That script. What a beautiful script that is. You don’t see much of that outside of baseball uniforms, but it definitely works for the Bulls here.
So, are you all excited to see these throwbacks return? Also, do you think that it’s hilarious that they’ll be wearing throwbacks on “2010s Night?” Good job, Bulls.
