The Buffalo Bills and New York Jets will officially unveil their new “Color Rush” uniforms during tonight’s broadcast of Thursday Night Football. The uniforms will be worn against each other on November 12th.
We’ve seen a few teaser photographs from each team so far, what we know is the Bills (View Bills complete logo, uniform history here) will be wearing red with blue and white accents, numbers will be white with blue trim as will be the sleeve stripes.
The Jets (View Jets complete logo, uniform history here) will be going back to “kelly” green for the game, the colour used in the first few decades of the team up through 1997. There will also be tweaks to the helmet, the club is reporting.
Aside from the new uniforms the best bit about all this is the trial of colour vs colour, it’s going to be red vs green for this game and several other upcoming Thursday Night games throughout the season. That alone should look pretty darned epic.
The full schedule of colour vs colour Thursday Night games below, the plan is to unveil the uniforms during the Thursday Night game one week before the actual matchup:
November 12 – Bills (Red) at Jets (Kelly Green)
November 19 – Titans (Blue) at Jaguars (Gold)
November 26 – Panthers (Blue) at Cowboys (White*)
December 17 – Buccaneers (Red) at Rams (Yellow)
*-yeah, I don’t get that either.
