Wide receivers will wear helmets featuring a submarine, because, like submarines, wide receivers take on “a stealth-like persona as they blend into the rhythm of the offense but bring significant fire power when called upon,” according to NavySports.com.

Linemen’s helmets will feature an amphibious assault ship: “These ships are utilized to establish the ‘beach head’ that enables the invading force to gain access and ultimately accomplish their objective.”

Running backs will wear littoral combat ships because “these fast and nimble ships can navigate through both crowded shallow and deep waters.”

“The aircraft carrier is the ultimate decision maker,” so of course, it will appear on the quarterback’s helmet.

Linebackers will wear the cruiser, which “provides anti-air defense and packs the biggest punch of Naval surface ships.”

The destroyer, “known for significant fire power, speed, and anti-missile defense,” will grace the helmets of defensive backs.
