There are plenty of young soccer leagues in the United States, and the Premier League of America is one of those leagues that caters to semi-pro and amateur players in this country. In fact, the former Great Lakes Premier League is actually considered to be the top semi-pro/amateur league in the U.S., which is explains their claim to being the “Premier” league in that regard.
The former GLPL has revealed its new logo and while it’s very similar to the old logo, it’s definitely more patriotic.
The similarity to the old GLPL logo is by design, as the league itself tweeted that they were trying to show off their new colors with the new logo while also paying homage to the old design.
Now, this may be far from a major league in America, but the logo is definitely worth of the first division, in my opinion. What do you think? Where would you rank this in the vast pantheon of minor league logos?
