Defending Champions, the Golden State Warriors, and reigning MVP Stephen Curry top their respective top spots on the NBA’s annual list of the top selling player jerseys and team merchandise during the 2015 holiday season.
Finishing runner-up to Curry once again is Cleveland’s LeBron James, retiring Los Angeles Laker Kobe Bryant places third, rookie Knicks player Kristaps Porzingis is fourth, and Oklahoma City’s Kevin Durant finishes out the top five.
The top ten list below:
As for merchandise, alas, those Warriors took top spot once again; the Bulls, powered by two top ten jersey placers in Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler finished second, while the Eastern Conference champion Cavs came in third.
How about those Clippers finishing in tenth? Makes you wonder how much higher they would have been if their new logo was even halfway decent.
These figures are based on sales made on the official NBA online shop between October and December 2015, it’s fair to point out that the Canadian-based Toronto Raptors numbers would be affected due to higher shipping costs and duty fees likely stopping a good chunk of purchases that would have been made by their local fanbase.
