The Houston Astros, fresh off their first-ever American League playoff berth, will unveil a new alternate uniform tomorrow afternoon at their annual FanFest.
According to my best friend “anonymous reliable sources”, the new Astros uniform will be navy blue with the “ASTROS” wordmark across the chest similar to the dugout jackets players and managers have been wearing in recent years. There are unconfirmed reports that the rainbow siding seen on the batting practice jerseys will also be present.
Houston unveiled their new logo, uniforms, and colours during the off-season in the fall of 2012, making their debut as they took the field to begin their inaugural campaign in the junior circuit the following spring. The new set paid tribute to the Astros history, specifically their first few seasons, borrowing the original colour scheme and cap logo.
The new uniform will be revealed tomorrow at a ceremony beginning at 1:15pm Central Time.
