Ken Griffey Jr. is the first top draft pick ever to be elected to the Hall of Fame. He received 99.3 percent of the vote—a record high—in his first year of eligibility. Mike Piazza, who was selected 1,390th in the 62nd round of the 1988 draft, is the lowest draft pick ever to make it into the Hall of Fame—an honor bestowed upon him in his fourth year on the ballot.

The players will enter the Hall of Fame together as baseball royalty this summer. They’ll become the 311th and 312th inductees in a July 24 induction ceremony just south of the Hall itself.

A patch featuring the Hall’s induction logo was released today and featured on The Emblem Source’s website.
