We’ve been inundated with minor league baseball promotions featuring Star Wars and Ghostbusters jerseys this year, so when a team decides to take on another cultural icon, it kind of catches us off guard.
Next Friday night…yes… #HarryPotter Night with jerseys and a Snitch Baseball Giveaway https://t.co/kS0DfHmCWn pic.twitter.com/BiWLceUdmA

The Lakewood BlueClaws, Single-A affiliate of the Phillies and the South Atlantic’s League’s leader in attendance for their entire 15-year existence, will take to the field in Hogwarts-themed jerseys Friday, May 20. The jerseys evoke Harry Potter’s academic robe, complete with a BlueClaws-themed shield, and, of course, that signature scarf—in BlueClaws red and blue instead of Gryffindor’s scarlet and gold.
There’s no word whether Shane Watson or Tyler Gilbert will get the start as seeker for the BlueClaws, but we may see converted beater Wilson Garcia make his first start as keeper.
The jerseys will be auctioned off to benefit BlueClaws Charities during the game.
