The NFL is making its return to action in Los Angeles tonight, as the Rams open up their preseason slate for the 2016-17 campaign. As such, the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum is getting a “fresh coat of paint” around the stadium and on the field too. The team has decided to put the NFL shield at the 50-yard-line, and they’re going with a blue endzone with “LOS ANGELES” printed in the endzone in white.
If that wordmark looks familiar to you, then that’s because it’s actually a slightly-updated part of their old identity from their previous stint in LA. They’ve brought it back with them for their return to LA, and it’ll be on display in the endzone.

There’s no word on whether or not this wordmark will move into the new identity when the Rams eventually make the switch as they move into their new stadium, but I think it would be nice if it did. It’s a nice-looking wordmark in my opinion. Do you all agree?
