It’s been a golden day in the world of hockey.
Shortly after the Nashville Predators announced they were wearing a gold helmet for all home games next season, the Ontario Hockey League’s Kingston Frontenacs unveiled a new gold third jersey.
The jersey features the Frontenacs block “K” logo inside a black roundel style circle, the team name around it in black in a white circle as well the team’s establishment year of 1973.
“The group at Reebok/CCM did a great job on the concept of bringing back a gold jersey for the Frontenacs,” said Justin Chenier, Executive Director of Business Operations in the press release. “This jersey blends a very new style and vintage feel, without losing the brand that people have come to embrace.”
On the shoulders there’s black yoke piping which continues along most of the collar. Up either side of the jersey are multiple black and white stripes, this design is continued on the sleeves. There are no stripes at the waist because that’s the thing now.
