We’re in January, which means that it’s time for the most imortant football games of the year for both college and the professional ranks — especially for college, because today’s the day in which we figure out who’s the best team in college football. This year’s National Championship game is staking place in Tampa, and it’s a rematch of last year’s game — #3 Clemson vs. #1 Alabama.
When it comes to the uniforms and the field, there aren’t too many surprises in store. Oregon is a long way away from this game, so we won’t be seeing any special uniforms here. Clemson will be wearing orange pants with white jerseys, while Alabama’s going with their super-traditional home uniforms. The only special additions are the “diamond-studded” Nike swooshes that both teams will be sporting and the 2017 Championship game patch.
The field design is almost a carbon-copy of last year’s field. The main difference is that the CFP logos have been updated for 2017. That’s about it.
So there aren’t too many surprises in store logo-and-uniform-wise when it comes to this year’s title game, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Both of these teams have great uniforms, so it’s good to see that they’re sticking with them. The field is bland, but that’s what the CFP has gone with ever since they came into existence, so there’s nothing that can be done about that until they decide to make a change. Until then, we’re stuck with the black endzones.
What do you all think, though? This is going to be a decent-looking National Championship Game, right?
