The Down East Wood Ducks, a new Minor League Baseball team in the Carolina League (Texas Rangers Single-A) unveiled their new logos earlier today at a media event streamed online.
The logos, designed by Brandiose, feature a white-headed male wood duck with green and orange features, a look at the whole set:

Yeah there’s one swinging a log like a baseball bat. I know.
Uniforms weren’t unveiled but we got a peek at one of the caps, and like most Brandiose designs it looks damn good on a ballcap:
No uniforms yet but team general manager Wade Howell referenced them in a quote to MiLB.com:
“We had to stay true to the name. When you announce that you’re the Wood Ducks, it’s got to be a colourful logo. We didn’t hold back. We wanted it to be as true of a representation as possible, and when it comes to uniforms, that means we have a lot of options. Orange, camo, red, green — a lot of different colours.”
Camo!
The Down East Wood Ducks will play out of Grainger Stadium in Kinston, North Carolina; the former long-time home of the Kinston Indians franchise who played there off-and-on with various different names from 1921(!) up through 2011. The Wood Ducks replace (but aren’t the same franchise as) the High Desert Mavericks who were the Rangers single-A affiliate out of the California League before disbanding following the 2016 season.
