Yankee Stadium’s most successful sports team from 2016 has unveiled a new uniform today.
Major League Soccer’s New York City FC unboxed their new home jersey this morning via a video posted to their official Twitter account. The new kit adds a patch based off of the flag of the City of New York to the waist, swaps out all of the white trim for navy blue, and adds a hint of orange to the cuffs. Printed inside the collar in orange and white are the names of the five boroughs of the city: Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island.
Etihad Airways remains as the jersey sponsor.

And compare it to 2016, as you’ll see there’s plenty more white on the older set — the collar, the Adidas stripes, the sleeves, and the shorts. All of which have been replaced with blue for 2017.
