The St. Louis Cardinals are adding another dimension to their batting helmet logo.
Thanks to a photo Tweeted by Ben Boyd of KMOX in St Louis we see the new sticker which will (presumably) be in use throughout the 2017 season, it shows the blue outlined as a base with the white “STL” layered on top creating a look similar to the embroidery techniques used on ball caps.

St Louis joins the Los Angeles Dodgers as clubs to wear this new style of helmet decal, the difference with the Cards is that their graphic utilizes multiple colours resulting in the different levels of the graphic. The Chicago Cubs use an embroidered “3D” sticker on their helmets, not quite this plastic style in St Louis and LA.
