The Minnesota Timberwolves will be sporting a new look for the 2018 season and beyond. While we don’t know what the team’s new logo and uniforms will look like just yet, we have an idea of what the colors will be.
Last week, the T-Wolves announced their re-design and started sending out materials to get their fans hyped up about the change. Conrad Burry got his hands on some of the materials, and one thing was clear — the T-Wolves will have a different shade of blue and green for their new look. However, they won’t just simply go back to the shades of blue and green that they wore when they came into the league. So if you’re looking for Minnesota to just go back to their throwback look, then you’ll be disappointed.
Instead, it appears that Minnesota will be going for a color scheme centered around navy blue and lime green. Conrad Burry came up with a concept logo based on the information he’s received and if it’s anything close to this, then I think basketball fans everywhere would be happy with the result.
Additionally, Burry noticed a tree pattern on the Timberwolves’ season ticket holder website and speculated that this could possibly be placed on the uniforms. That’s a pretty astute observation, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw that pattern somewhere on their uniforms.
So based on these major observations, it’s clear that the Timberwolves aren’t going to go back with a throwback look. Instead, they’re going to try to advance their identity and go modern with their new look. What do you all think of this? Do you think that the new color combination will work for the T-Wolves?
