The Cleveland Browns are currently infamous for two things — being depressingly inept on the field since their revival ahead of the 1999 season, and having less-than-excellent uniforms in more recent times. Their recent logo-and-uniform overhaul didn’t go over too well with critics and fans when it came out, and they’ve now gone two seasons with the new look. However, these uniforms may already be on their way out.
Cleveland Browns co-owner Dee Haslam recently told ESPN Cleveland’s Tony Grossi that the team may go for another uniform overhaul at the first chance that they get. That would mean that a change would come in 2020.
If that’s indeed the case, then I’d guess that Browns fans (and uniform fans in general) will probably be counting the days until the start of the new decade. While the Browns didn’t have great uniforms before the overhaul, they were definitely better than what they came up with here. I’m sure that Nike and the Browns would prefer to have another crack at getting this right for Cleveland.
So, if the change does actually happen, are you all looking forward to it? Which direction should the Browns go in if they do indeed try to pull off another uniform overhaul?
