What happens when you cross minor league baseball with marine biology? You get tonight’s Daytona Tortugas jerseys, which will feature the artwork of marine conservationist and wildlife artist Guy Harvey.
Harvey, founder of the Guy Harvey Research Institute at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, is well known among sports fishermen for his lifelike depictions of marine sport fish, some of which are featured on tonight’s jerseys, along with the team’s namesake, of course, a sea turtle.
