The Daytona Tortugas, High-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds, will honor the late Craig Sager and help fight cancer with “Sager Strong” jerseys July 21. Sager, a respected and much-liked sports journalist who began his career in Florida, died last December of leukemia.
Sager was well known not only for his prolific reporting in many sports, but also for his sometimes outrageous mode of dress, as evidenced in the above photo of him accepting the Jimmy V award for perseverance at the 2016 ESPYs.
Can't wait to see how @SHAQ looks in our Sager Strong jersey. Sending one your way, big fella! Let's get 💯 retweets for Shaq to come to game pic.twitter.com/UlUc7aWGfo

The Tortugas are trying to entice Shaquille O’Neal to the game by getting 100 retweets on the announcement above. (At the time of this writing, they’re 20 percent of the way there, so how about helping them out?)
The jerseys will be auctioned off to benefit the Sager Strong Foundation, which funds clinical trials and cancer research for leukemia and other blood cancers.
