The Nashville Predators are celebrating their 20th season in 2017-18 and they’ll do so with a special commemorative logo.
With two versions, one for use on yellow and the other white, the logo features the number 20 in blue with the year of the club’s first game (1998) on the left and the year of the end of the upcoming season (2018) on the right. In between are three stars (Tennessee flag?) with the primary logo below.
The “0” of the “20” is designed like the eye from the sabre-toothed tiger the club has used since their inception.
No word on whether this will be used as a patch, the release simply states it will be “used in a variety of ways”. The Carolina Hurricanes, who also recently unveiled their 20th anniversary logo (their first season in North Carolina was 1997-98), announced that their 20th logo will not be worn as a patch, but instead as a decal on the player helmets.
