The minor league baseball season is winding down, but before the September call-ups make their way to the Bigs and the young hopefuls head to fall leagues to hone their crafts, we’ll squeeze every bit of theme night goodness out of the season. To that end, the Round Rock Express, Triple-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, will commemorate 80s Night this Saturday with jerseys inspired by perhaps the most iconic video game of that decade, Pac-Man.
The jerseys feature Pac-Man himself, along with ghosts Inky, Blinky, Pinky, and Clyde (in both lethal normal form and edible blue form), as well as fruit from the video game. The jerseys mix in some pixel art-style baseballs to tie the video game to the game on the field.
The jerseys will be auctioned off to benefit local charity Austin Angels, which supports foster care children.
