The Los Angeles Kings will be honouring the memory of a team employee who was killed during the mass shooting which took place in Las Vegas earlier this week.
Christina Duarte, a Kings Fan Services Associate, will be remembered with a special helmet decal featuring a silver heart with her initials “CD” in black. The decal will be worn in the middle of the helmet below the player number and in between the NHL’s 100th anniversary logo and the permanent memorial to Ace Bailey and Mark Bavis, two LA Kings employees who were killed during the 9/11 terrorist attacks sixteen years ago.
A moment of silence will also be held pre-game for Duarte as well as all other victims of the attack, proceeds from the sales of 50/50 tickets during the game will be donated to the Las Vegas Victims Fund, Kings players will match this donation.
