The Sacramento River Cats, triple-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, have added a logo featuring their hometown’s iconic Tower Bridge.
The 737-foot Tower Bridge has been a fixture in Sacramento since 1935, and can be seen from Raley Field. The color of the bridge has long been the subject of discussion in Sacramento. It was originally painted silver, then ochre in the 1970s, and then its current color, gold (as determined by a vote by residents), in 2002.
The new logo, designed by Brandiose, will be worn on alternate caps in the 2018 season.
