Augusta GreenJackets unveil new logos, with plaid!

The Augusta GreenJackets, a San Francisco Giants affiliate in the single-A South Atlantic League, unveiled new logos designed by Brandiose just moments ago.

This version of Auggie has been retired.

The new look features mascot Auggie, now flexing instead of wearing the green jacket so closely associated with The Masters golf major held in town (that’s the old logo at right). With the new look, the GreenJackets are the first team in minor league baseball to feature a plaid pattern in their logo, as seen in Auggie’s cap—perfect for a team whose brand is tied to golf.

Cap logos include a stand-alone (hover-alone?) Auggie and an A for Augusta with Auggie’s wings.

The new brand coincides with the team’s move to a new ballpark next season, which is located just across the river in North Augusta, South Carolina, part of a larger development project in the area.
