The Altoona Curve, double-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, introduced two alternate caps that pay homage to different eras from the team’s history yesterday.
The first features the team’s “Keystone A” logo, a reference to their home state of Pennsylvania, the “Keystone State.” That logo has been part of the team’s suite since 2011.
The second, which the team is calling “Classic Curve,” features one of the team’s early logos, a baseball streaming smoke behind it, forming the cross stroke through the letter A.
The new caps will be part of the team’s celebration of its 20th season in 2018.
