Adirondack Thunder Unveil New Uniforms for 2019

The Adirondack Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s New Jersey Devils have unveiled their new uniform design for the 2018-19 season.

Gold has been replaced with silver in the colour scheme of the Thunder, the team had previously been using a look heavily inspired by their previous parent club in Calgary, updated to reflect the newer affiliation with New Jersey. The New York State and USA Flags have also been taken off the shoulders of the jersey replaced with a new alternate mark. The logo on the chest will change from the full primary logo – team name and all – to simply the head of the character featured. Simplify.

Sleeve striping remains basically the same – one fewer stripe on each, gold replaced with silver. At the waist, stripes are brought back (yay!), a large white and black stripe with a thin silver line in between.

Here’s the new uniform:

And compare with the look currently being worn by the team in 2017-18:

If they got rid of that shoulder yoke of nothing we’d be looking at a perfect update to the uniform, but I’ll take the re-introduction of waist stripes. Baby steps.
