The Green Bay Packers are ready to kick off their centennial 100th season this summer, they’ve gotten things underway today with the unveiling of a special 100th season logo.
The logo shows the Packers famous white G in a green oval with gold trim placed on a green and white shield. The main feature of the shield is the large “100” in white in the top half, a diagonal white stripe cuts across the bottom of the shield where “SEASONS” in written in green with an underscore.
Green Bay will wear this logo as a patch on the front upper-left part of their jerseys during the 2018 season.
The Packers will launch a travelling exhibit showing historic Packers and Lambeau Field memorabilia, this exhibit will be known as Lambeau Field Live and make five visits throughout Wisconsin beginning in June. There will also be the creation of a ten-part video series focusing on the history of the Green Bay Packers as well as a book detailing the highlights of the Packers history from 1919 through 2018.
The 100th season celebrations will come to an end on August 11, 2019 which is one hundred years, to the day, that the franchise was founded.
