When it comes to determining field or court designs, sports teams going to the fanbase to make the choice for them isn’t a new thing. It’s been going on for years now and the Ohio State Buckeyes are no different here, as they’ve turned to their fans in order to decide what their new basketball court design will look like.
After releasing a poll last week, they’ve pared things down to four finalists, which you can see in the embedded tweet below.
🙌 Thanks for your feedback Buckeye Nation!

The school also announced that the winning design will be laid down as the new court for their upcoming season. Personally, my favorite court design is the one that’s in the top right, with the bottom left running second in my opinion.
While I understand wanting to keep the football design like the helmet stripe away from the basketball identity, at the same time it’s still very hard to divorce that iconic striping pattern with Ohio State sports. It’s a good look and I wouldn’t mind seeing it on the court whenever the Buckeyes start playing hoops again.
So which one of these court designs would you vote for and why?
