To celebrate Moms everywhere, Major League Baseball players, coaches, and umpires will once again don pink uniforms and accessories today for Mother’s Day.
Unlike the last two seasons, jerseys will be the usual team design but they will have MLB’s pink breast cancer awareness ribbon attached to the upper left corner of the chest.
The 2018 Mother’s Day cap design will feature a pink “heathered” pattern on the crown with team logos re-coloured to match, for the most part bills and pills are black with a few exceptions, several teams are using royal or navy blue, some of those who stray from that include the Angels with red, and the A’s with green.
As mentioned earlier, there are no special jersey designs for Mother’s Day this year, just the addition of a pink ribbon.
And here’s how each of the caps pairs up with the jerseys, click image for a closer look:
Players will also wear pink socks again in 2018, here’s that design, it is the same design for all teams across the league:
All proceeds from the sale of Mother’s Day merchandise will go to Susan G. Komen Foundation to fight breast cancer; merchandise of course available now from MLB.com here.
