LEGO’s Let’s Play Tour has been bringing the Danish interlocking brick toys to minor league baseball stadiums around the country all season, providing building tables, oversized LEGO creations, and photo opportunities to fans at games. The Fort Wayne TinCaps, Single-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres, are taking the festivities to another level, kicking off their weekend hosting the tour tonight by wearing be-bricked, on-field promotional jerseys.
In a break from the tradition of post-game auctions, the TinCaps will instead give away game-worn, autographed jerseys through a contest. While the LEGO tour will be in Fort Wayne through the weekend, the team will only wear the jerseys at tonight’s game against the Bowling Green Hot Rods.
