The Daytona Tortugas will kick off their upcoming “Bob Ross Weekend” with some pretty sweet specialty jerseys. The jerseys, to be worn August 10, include the Tortugas’ logo with Bob Ross’s distinctive hair, holding a paint brush instead of baseball bat, set against a nature landscape painting typical of Ross’s style.
The back of the jerseys highlight uniform numbers set against a painter’s palette.
Ross, the TV personality and painter famous for his “happy little trees,” was born in Daytona Beach and lived in Florida. He died way too young at the age of 52 in Orlando.
The weekend will also feature a Bob Ross bobblehead giveaway, which is just about the greatest thing ever.
