This morning the Eastern League, a double-A member of Minor League Baseball, updated their league logo for the first time in twenty years.
The new mark was designed by San Diego-based Brandiose who has been responsible for a host of new Minor League team identities over the last several seasons including the 2016 Creamer Award-winning Great Lakes Loons identity.
Featuring a retro look, the new logo includes a scripted “Eastern League” wordmark in white on a blue diamond; two red bats cross behind the ball diamond with blue pennants featuring the establishment year of the league above.
In the press release, Eastern League President Joe McEacharn said they were very excited to introduce the new logo, “which provides an updated and modern look that fits better with the league moving forward.”
The Eastern League is home to a dozen teams scattered across nine states as far west as Ohio, east to Maine, and south to Virginia and Maryland.
