The Winnipeg Jets will unveil their new third jersey on September 14th at a season ticket holder event at Bell MTS Place in Winnipeg.
The team made the announcement via a letter sent out to season ticket holders, the package included a silver keychain featuring a Jets logo which we haven’t seen before:

According to my sources, this logo will be the main component of the new Jets alternate uniform to be unveiled that night in September.
Up until now, the Winnipeg Jets have never had an alternate uniform — the original Jets moved to Phoenix in 1996 right at the start of the alternate uniform program in the NHL, the new Jets have only used a home and road uniform in their set since they moved north from Atlanta in 2011. The Jets did wear a throwback jersey for the Heritage Classic outdoor game they hosted in 2016 but this was not an official “alternate uniform”.
The scripted wordmark here may be a throwback to the first Jets uniform the original club wore during their early days in the World Hockey Association nearly 50 years ago.
This Jets uniform featured “JETS” written across the front in blue and red but isn’t quite the same design as what we saw on the keychain included with that season ticket holder mailer.
