For the second-straight season, Aaron Judge is the player whose jersey is most coveted by American baseball fans.
The annual list released by Major League Baseball puts Judge on the top of the league with Houston Astros star Jose Altuve, helped by both a World Series and MVP Award jumped up all the way to second place from 13th, while Javier Baez comes in third up from 10th in 2017. Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw places fourth for like the fourth straight year… it’s bizarre.
Here’s the top twelve in a handy graphical format:
Betts jumps from 12 to 5, Rizzo drops three spots to number 6, his teammate Kris Bryant even further down from 2nd spot in 2017. Angels rookie DH/Pitcher Shohei Ohtani debuts at number 8, new Yankee Giancarlo Stanton didn’t rank last year now in ninth, with veterans Yadier Molina (7th to 10th), Mike Trout (8th to 11th), and Buster Posey (6th to 12th) rounding out the top twelve and all falling a few spots.
