The ECHL’s brand new season will have a consistent theme all year long. The 27-team hockey league announced a partnership with the children’s television network Nickelodeon, best known for the shows SpongeBob SquarePants, PAW Patrol, and Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The design firm OT Sports will create jerseys highlighting Nickelodeon shows, which teams will wear on select nights throughout the season.
The first such night this season will be October 27, when the Florida Everblades sport SpongeBob SquarePants jerseys and the Kalamazoo Wings don uniforms inspired by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The rest of the ECHL’s selected Nickelodeon promotional nights are as follows:
