The Detroit Pistons unveiled their new City uniform this morning via their Twitter account, the uniform confirms the leak that made the rounds late last month.
“Our city. Motor City. Our new black City Edition jerseys are based on inspiration from automotive culture and the hard-nosed mentality of Detroit.” read the Tweet accompanying the unveiling, the Pistons adding that the uniforms will debut on November 23rd at home against the Houston Rockets.
The uniform, like last season’s City Uniform, is navy blue and features “MOTOR CITY” arched across the chest. Unlike last season the jersey has light blue trim (rather than silver) and moves the vertical striping from the sides of the jersey to the front while also thickening and reducing the number of stripes down to two.
The Pistons are scheduled to wear the new uniform seventeen times in 2018-19 with eleven of those games played on the road:
November 23 vs Houston
November 30 vs Chicago
December 5 at Milwaukee
December 7 vs Philadelphia
December 12 at Charlotte
December 28 at Indiana
January 2 at Memphis
January 10 at Sacramento
January 14 at Utah

February 8 vs New York

March 18 at Cleveland
