The Washington Wizards were busy this morning announcing both a new uniform and the addition of an advertisement to their jerseys.
Starting with the uniform, the Wizards unveiled their new “City Edition” set which continues the theme from last season of representing the District of Columbia. While last season the uniform was white, this year it’s black as the focus of the design now turns to the National Mall at night.
With a black base and red trim, the jerseys and shorts feature a Washington Monument up each side – starting at the base of the shorts and finishing with the monument’s point up near the armpit. This white monument design also includes a marble pattern, much like the actual Washington Monument. The flag for the City of Washington, D.C. is added to the waistband of the shorts.
The Wizards will debut this uniform on November 16th against the Brooklyn Nets.
