The Milwaukee Bucks will be paying tribute to the court design of their original home while also “celebrating risk-taking and the art of the game” with their new “City Edition” uniform officially unveiled earlier this morning.
Based entirely off of the court design at the old MECCA arena, the uniform is two shades of yellow and red in almost a pie-chart-like design. “BUCKS” is stacked vertically in green with lime green trim with the player’s number off to the right.
The “pie-chart” jersey design looks to replicate the area close to the free-throw line while the green and lime green text is a nod to the “MECCA” wordmark at centre court.
On the shorts, we see the lighter of the two yellows with blue and green stripes and “MILWAUKEE” in gold, this is the baseline of the court design.
The Bucks will wear the new uniform a dozen times this season with the games split evenly between home and on the road, they’ll make their debut on later this month on the 19th against the Nuggets.
