USL 2 Team Taking Suggestions for New Name

The Michigan Bucks of USL League Two (formerly the Premier Development League) have relocated from Pontiac to Flint for 2019 and are now contemplating a change to their name, logos, and colours to accompany the move.

Of course, since Flint *is* in Michigan, they could always just keep the name and continue on as if nothing happened… (I mean, honestly, there’s really nothing wrong with the name “Michigan Bucks”).

For now, the team is accepting any and all ideas for a new name at until December 15th, the one who gets chosen for submitting the winning entry gets four VIP season tickets and an autographed jersey for their work.

The Bucks have played for over twenty seasons, their inaugural season back in 1996 as the Mid-Michigan Bucks, in 2003 the team dropped the Mid to become just the Michigan Bucks. They’ve won three PDL league championships over the years and became the first USL team to defeat an MLS side when they topped the New England Revolution at the US Open Cup in 2000.
