Houston Dynamo Announce New Jersey Partner

The Houston Dynamo have announced they’ve reached a deal for a new jersey partner starting with the 2019 Major League Soccer season.

After playing the 2018 season without any advertisement across the front of their kit, the Dynamo will go forward into the new season with the logo for the MD Anderson Cancer Center, a seventy-year-old Houston-based cancer hospital affiliated with the University of Texas.

Listed only as a “multi-year” agreement, the deal also includes making the home stadium of the Dynamo tobacco-free, as part of the joint mission of reducing cancer.

“I am extremely pleased to welcome MD Anderson as a part of our club and I am proud to have such a highly respected organization on the front of our shirts,” Dynamo owner Gabriel Brener said. “I am sure that our fans will feel that same pride in knowing that they are not only supporting a club but are also supporting a truly worthwhile mission. The opportunity for our club to help MD Anderson promote such an important cause – to end cancer – is something that was very much worth waiting for and one that excites and motivates everyone at our club.”

Previously the Dynamo have had jersey partnerships with Amigo Energy with began mid-way through the 2007 season, their deal with Greenstar Recycling ended prematurely after the company was taken over leaving the team without a logo in 2013, and most recently BHP Billiton from 2014 through 2017.
