Braves to Show Off “Refreshed” Uniforms This Weekend

The Atlanta Braves will have a new look when they take the field later this year, and it goes beyond the addition of a couple of former All-Stars.

As part of their Chop Fest fan event this Saturday, the Braves will show off some new uniforms which the team is referring to as their “refreshed uniforms”.

The term “refreshed uniforms” suggests to me that these will be, overall, very minor tweaks. A little tidying up of details here-and-there probably at the insistence of either the uniform manufacturer or the internal design team.

Typically such minor changes wouldn’t get more than a brief mention (if a mention at all), so the fact that they’re making an announcement out of it tells me that there may be at least one change worth holding an event for – perhaps a new alternate uniform? We’ll see.

Last season the Braves “refreshed” their logos and colour scheme, darkening the shade of blue and gold.
