For the fourth year in a row, the Single-A Asheville Tourists will play a game this season as the Beer City Tourists. The team has played in different uniforms each time they have played in their Beer City uniforms, but this year for the first time, they’ll highlight the actual breweries that afford Asheville its beery claim right on their uniforms.
The team will wear jerseys with “Beer City” in a custom typeface designed by Brandiose back when this promotion first happened in 2016, as well as caps featuring their Asheville A in a pint glass. More notably, perhaps, the jerseys feature a Kramer-esque hodgepodge of the logos of Asheville’s many breweries. (The Explore Asheville website maintains that its 26 breweries give it the highest number per capita in the United States.)
The Beer City Tourists will take the field Thursday, May 30, against the West Virginia Power.
