The Pittsburgh Pirates are holding their annual celebration of African American Heritage this afternoon and part of that celebration will include the team wearing throwback uniforms.
Pittsburgh will don a uniform mostly based on those worn by the 1938 Pittsburgh Crawfords, at the time a member of the Negro National League. The 1938 season was their last in Pittsburgh before relocating to Toledo for 1939. Legendary Crawfords players included Satchel Paige, Cool Papa Bell, and Josh Gibson.

The Pirates opponents, the Milwaukee Brewers, participated in the Pirates African American Heritage Celebration in 2018 and wore these Milwaukee Bears uniforms for the game:
As of writing this post I had not been able to find any information on if the Brewers would be wearing this same uniform again today, though I expect they would (at least something similar).
This will be the seventh time the Pirates have worn a Crawfords uniform since 2008, they last wore them on July 13, 2018 against the Brewers. Overall this is the fourth time the Pirates and Brewers have worn Negro League throwback uniforms against each other.
