Leak: Chicago Bears Centennial Throwback Uniform

Is it possible for the Chicago Bears to look better than they already do?

According to a series of photos Tweeted over the weekend, the Bears are introducing a new throwback look in 2019 that’ll blow their current set out of Lake Michigan.

Thanks to Chicago Sun-Times sports reporter Patrick Finley we are getting ourselves an early look at these beauties:

Finley spotted the yet-to-be-unveiled jerseys out for sale at a local Dick’s Sporting Goods location.

The uniform follows the design of the Bears 1936 set, with four alternating blue-and-orange stripes on each shoulder as well as additional striping on the sleeves:

Like the NFL, the Bears will be celebrating their 100th anniversary season this year, so it makes sense that the club would be reaching back to try something different for their throwback uniform.

Typically the club wears their “Monsters of the Midway” style design, which relatively speaking isn’t all too different from the current set (changes to number font, elimination of white trim). This design would be replacing that one and be worn, likely, once or twice in the upcoming season.
