The Canadian Football League and New Era this morning announced a special line of Canada Day themed red-and-white maple leaf caps that will be worn by all team coaches, staff, and trainers on sidelines during Week 3 of the 2019 CFL season.
“Canada Day has always been a special date on the CFL calendar and this year we extend it for all of Week 3,” said Randy Ambrosie, CFL Commissioner. “Canadians coast-to-coast-to-coast will be proud to see our teams dressed in red and white to coincide with Canada’s 152nd year of confederation.”
The caps feature a large red maple leaf on a red-crowned cap, the front two panels of which are in white. Within the maple leaf are several instances of the wordmark logo of the team wearing it, a design with the team’s primary logo in their usual colours is on the underbill.
Caps will be worn for the game starting tonight between the Edmonton Eskimos and Winnipeg BlueBombers, they’ll continue to be worn for every game through to the Canada Day game between the Toronto Argonauts and Saskatchewan Roughriders on Monday night.
