The Triple-A Durham Bulls have been busy with the promotions this season—we’ve already taken notice of their 1902 Tobacconist throwbacks, their Lollygaggers homage to Bull Durham, and their “Bunch of Jerks” collaboration with the Carolina Panthers. And now we add to that list their recent unveiling of uniforms based on Stranger Things character Eleven.
This is the Bulls’ second Stranger Things promotion in as many years. Last season, the team wore uniforms inspired by Dustin’s denim shirt and T-shirt. This year, the uniforms will evoke the overalls and flannel shirt worn by telekinetic CIA experiment Eleven.
The team’s caps will feature a waffle-patterned brim, an homage to Eleven’s affinity for Eggo waffles.
While the show is set in Indiana, Durham, North Carolina, holds a special claim to Stranger Things fame—the show’s creators, Matt and Ross Duffer are Durham natives.
Stranger Things night will take place July 11, with jerseys being auctioned off throughout the game.
