The Stanley Cup Champs are adding a new uniform as they defend their title this season.
Yesterday, the St. Louis Blues announced the team will wear four uniforms in 2019-20, the newest of the bunch to be unveiled on September 14th at 9:45 am Central Time during a training camp practice.

Referred to by the club as only a “commemorative jersey” thus far, the new look will be worn for three home games this season. It does not replace any of the three uniforms the Blues wore in 2018-19, their home blues, road whites, and “heritage blue” alternate options will all return this season.

So… commemorative jersey? Could be a special uniform recognizing the Stanley Cup victory? Or are we reading too much into the phrasing used here and maybe it’s just another throwback uniform? We will, of course, update the story as any news trickles in.
